Yesterday, Derrick and I jetted off to Seattle for an Alaskan cruise, a trip we’ve been (im)patiently waiting for since December. And since we booked it, I have been struggling with what to pack.
The weather in Alaska is great compared to the south this time of year: temperatures hover around the 60s during the daytime and can drop to the 40s in the evening, so we knew we had to pack a mix of layers that work together. I stuck with a neutral capsule wardrobe and selected pieces I could easily mix and match to maximize space in my suitcase and make getting dressed for any excursion a breeze. I tucked cozy layers like this oversized knit, chunky cardigan, and my nano puff jacket in my luggage, and chose comfortable footwear appropriate for all weather like these leather sneakers, mini rain boots, and shearling boots.
See below for my curated capsule wardrobe and a recommended packing list for your future alaskan cruise! I recommend sticking with a color palette and choosing items you can mix and match and layer.
