[…] I’m in desperate need of some new, cute swimwear and some versatile bags to bring on our beach trip in November, so take a peek and see what you […]

I am so beyond excited! Yesterday was one of the best days ever…so far. Like, top 10 best days of my life kind of day!
I woke up and was surprised by my fiancé with a verrryyyy early birthday gift (my birthday is in November, FYI): he’s taking me on a winter getaway to….
Saint Maarten!!
I was literally so surprised I almost fell off the bed. He booked the trip super early when he found a fantastic early-booking deal at a luxe, adults-only, all-inclusive hotel in paradise. This resort has won several prestigious awards, and is highly-rated among travelers as a must-stay. And since Saint Maarten is high on my list of places to travel; I guess I’ll be able to finally cross this off of my bucket list (along with Seattle and Paris in July)! We will be heading there in November a few days after Thanksgiving, and I cannot wait. (You can read more about my travel bucket list here).
Just look at this beautiful place!
I’m completely and utterly obsessed.
2017 has been shaping up to be a downright remarkable, busy year. I feel so extremely lucky and blessed to be where I am right now, and that I have so much to look forward to. We’ve been saving up so much to be able to travel now that school is over, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that we are finally getting the opportunities to do so. Thank goodness my company is rather lax on vacation time!
In the next few months I’ll be sharing my vacation packing wish-list for this trip, so be sure to check back!
Has anyone else been to St. Maarten already? What did you think?
Yours truly ,
Lisa Coburn
I just came across your blog this evening. I find it incredible and very intriguing! I’ve had much enjoyment out of reading your posts. I came across the one about St. Martin, and it said you were going to be traveling there a few days after Thanksgiving; my question is did you end up making post Hurricane Irma and Maria ? I heard it was true disaster, and inhabitable. I know the months following the hurricane they cleaned up much of the island but was not unsure of how it was now. My husband and I traveled to St. Martin many times in our youth and it was breath taking, and was saddened to see the outcome post storms. Please let me know! As I am eager to read more posts about your travels, shopping styles, and gift round ups!
Hi Lisa! First of all, thank you so much for reading! It means a lot. Unfortunately, we were not able to go this year because of the hurricane. I am not sure what state the island is in now, but we were very saddened by what happened and just hoping that everyone is safe and okay. Hopefully, we can plan a visit in the near future, because it has been on the top of our list for quite some time!
Oh that is too bad but wonderful you are trying to make a trip still! Did the hotel get destroye?! It looks beautiful!
I’m not sure if it’s still there, but I sincerely hope so! I can’t wait to go at some point!
Lovely post, need a vacation myself! X
