I’ve always loved spending my time making gifts for friends and family for the holidays. There is something so much more meaningful about receiving a gift that a loved one took the time to create just for you. These handmade gifts meant so much to my family, and built such a love of gift giving in me. I love seeing the smiles on their faces! Mother’s Day was especially dear to my heart. My mother -and father- are incredible individuals who taught me so much, and shaped me into the person I am today. I love seeking out special trinkets that I know my mother needed, or secretly wished for.
This year, I thought I’d share my list with you! I’ve included a variety of simple and traditional gift ideas, as well as fun and unique, to help celebrate our mother’s and all the amazing women in our lives that make us feel so incredibly special.
Traditional:
A fragrant candle, perfume, silk pillow cases, bouquet of flowers, lace dress, a nice card, basket tote, lovely vase, silk scarf, pastel dessert plates, bake her cookies, massage, mani/pedi, take her out to dinner or cook her dinner
Fun & Unique:
flower growing kit, a cooking class, picnic basket, photography lessons, a day of kayaking, a shopping day, a weekend getaway (I did this for my parent’s anniversary, and they adored it!), pretty art prints, statement earrings
