Guys, it’s been waayyyy too long, and I’m so sorry I haven’t checked in in a while! Things have been really crazy for me and I took a temporary hiatus from blogging to just de-stress and find my way again.
Real talk: I have been feeling really down for a long time now, and finally sought advice for how I was feeling. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression (something I have struggled with for a very long time but never told anyone) and no, I’m not ashamed to admit this. Lately, it’s been more of a struggle to hide this part of me, as something recently triggered those feelings again. Between healing from an incident from my past and my struggles to choose my calling now, I needed some time to just find my inner peace and search for answers.
Some people find what they want to do in life comes easily to them; I know what I want to do, but at this point am unable. It’s so hard to find a balance between being happy and doing something because I have to, and I’ve been feeling very lost with my decision making. I turned to someone I trust for guidance and am working with a few people to get myself on track to where I want to be: I’m very excited and hopeful! I’m crossing my fingers these new changes in my life will help me to keep progressing to where I wish to be, and will keep working hard and dreaming big in the meantime.
As a result of being preoccupied with everything, I haven’t been able to devote much time to blogging and creating content for you, my amazing readers. Without you guys and your support, I would be completely lost. I can’t thank you all enough for sharing this journey with me. I have shared some of my most recent posts from Instagram below. As always, links to shop items are at the end!
So happy it feels like fall! I wish I could say this is my first PSL of the season, but it’s definitely not. Please excuse my windswept hair, D wouldn’t let me stop to fix it! Wore this look to explore downtown Portland, ME. We went up for the weekend to celebrate a wedding, and had a fun time exploring this charming seaside town!
I am so in love with these gorgeous, embroidered smoking flats! Perfect jewel tones for fall, and suuuper comy!
Clearly I’m in love with this simple grey sweater, because I’ve worn it two days in a row! This is such an easy breezy fall uniform. Cotton leggings, a cozy sweater, flats, and cute accessories make for an easy outfit for every day wear (or coffee runs!)
Okay, different grey sweater, I promise!! This is actually a short sleeve sweater tee, and it is one of the comfiest items of clothing that I own. Best part, it’s only $13! Such a steal! This dainty necklace can easily dress up your outfit, or be layered with other necklaces for a more unique look.
Been really enjoying the weekend getaways when I can, and planning new places to travel! Spent a couple days at my best friend’s beautiful lake home, and the next two pictures are housewarming gifts I made for a different friend to celebrate her first home!
Has anyone been up to anything interesting lately? I’d love to hear about it!
