Work Bags for Every Price Point

January 24, 2020
Work Bags at Every Price Point
New year, new work bag. It’s the time of year when I begin sorting through my wardrobe and making lists of what I need and what I don’t. I prefer to do my closet spring cleaning now so that once the nice weather rolls around, I can spend as much free time out in the sun. Recently, I organized all of my handbags and made a list of the styles I’d like to invest in in the future. I...

Pantone’s Color of the Year: 2020 Edition

January 22, 2020
Pantone Color of the Year
photo source @verryrobin_co In the early days of December, Pantone announces their choice for Color of the Year for the upcoming year. Last year’s choice was Living Coral, and the year before that Ultra Violet. This year’s choice? Classic Blue. A timeless and enduring blue hue, Pantone’s Classic Blue is elegant in its simplicity. Suggestive of the sky at dusk, the reassuring qualities of the thought-provoking color highlight our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to...

My Sunday Rituals: Winter Edition
The key to having a great, successful week is to start it off on the right foot. What I do on Sunday has a big impact on how I feel for the rest of my week; I feel much more organized, calm, and ready for the days to come when I spend a few hours each Sunday implementing my rituals. From choosing my outfits to meal planning, here are several ways I prepare for the week ahead during the...

The London Fog (Earl Grey Tea Latte)

January 18, 2020
London Fog
Today I thought I’d share one of my favorite drink recipes: the London Fog! Made from earl grey tea, steamed milk, and vanilla syrup, this comforting drink is my go-to for the cold months of winter. One of my favorite ways to elevate the flavors in this drink and introduce a bit of springtime is the addition of lavender. It’s very simple to make at home, and more cost-effective than the $4 cafe version!

Favorite Lip Colors for Winter

January 17, 2020
Favorite Lip Colors for Winter
When winter rolls around, I tend to lighten my color palette a bit from the warm, rich tones of autumn to lighter shades. I struggle to get out of bed in the mornings during the colder months, so I like a fresh, easy makeup look that I can breeze through before work. I typically only apply moisturizer, foundation, blush, and a swipe of lipstick before I’m ready to head out the door. Stay away from matte and opt for...

5 Books to Read this Spring

January 15, 2020
5 Books to Read in the New Year
At the end of December, I scour book blogs, reviews, and shops for lists of the top most anticipated books of the upcoming season, and make note of them. This year, I’ve added a few new books to my list, as well as books that have been around for a while, but I’ve not yet had a chance to read them. See below for my top choices this Spring: American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins Lydia Quixano Pérez lives in...

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

January 14, 2020
Book Review
Pickup Your Copy Here This month’s book review is for A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. About the Book Meet Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him “the bitter neighbor from hell.” But must Ove be bitter just because he doesn’t walk around with a smile plastered to his...
