Art is one of the easiest ways to freshen up your home decor. A new painting or print can completely shift the mood and tone of a room, which is why I like to swap out the art in my home every season.
One of my favorite ways to do this is with botanical prints. These prints are so versatile and so gorgeous; resembling the vintage sketches from long ago, you can find prints of almost anything: flowers, plants, seashells, animals. I’ve been collecting these types of prints since I was a child, and have amassed quite a few! This is the best way for me to showcase my collection without spending money on new prints each year.
We have a set of six picture frames on the wall in our entry and, to keep our decor fresh, I swap out the botanical prints inside with a color scheme that more matches the mood of the current season. In the springtime, I prefer to have prints with bright citrus fruits or romantic, white roses. The summer usually features seashells or colorful flowers, autumn has a range of brown and gold tones and in winter, I keep the palette very neutral.
