Christmas is already over, and I can’t believe how quickly it flew by! We spent our first Christmas as a married couple with family, ate a TON of good food, and genuinely enjoyed our time together. I’m sad that’s it over, but all good things must come to an end. Now, I am eagerly awaiting New Year’s Eve! Every year, I attend holiday parties among family and friends, and am always searching for that mind-blowing dish or dessert to bring along- since you never go empty handed, of course. This year, however, I’ve decided to try my hand at perfecting some favorite cocktails, and whipping up several batches to surprise party guests!
I’ve tried and perfected one of my favorite winter cocktails below, and they’re perfect for delighting your family and friends during the holidays!
Salted Caramel White Russian
Salted caramel sauce
Salt flakes (optional)
3/4Â cup of salted caramel Irish cream
1/4 tbsp of amaretto liqueur
1/2 cup of half & half
Ice
Cocktail shaker
Rosemary sprigs (for garnish, optional)
Chocolate bark (optional)
Take your caramel sauce, and use a teaspoon to drizzle on the inside of the glass, turning it slowly to get a nice swirled effect
Fill the glass with ice.
Add your Irish cream, amaretto, and half & half to your cocktail shaker with several cubes of ice. Shake well and strain into the glasses.
Garnish your cocktail with a sprig of rosemary, a piece of chocolate, or even a candy cane. You can also sprinkle a little sea salt on the top to add a little extra flavor profile. Enjoy!
