I Vow to Love You Forever

On July 9th, in the Cascade mountains, I said “I Do” to my best friend, my rock, my soulmate. Thank you for loving me, and for accepting every part of me including my flaws. You are everything I could have asked for, and I can’t wait to share the rest of my life with you.

We wrote our own vows, and read them to each other while struggling not to cry (we didn’t succeed!) It was a very emotional ceremony, and a moment I’ll never forget.¬†

We are back from our vacation and resting, enjoying every moment together before we both go back to work. It’s been a whirlwind of fun, and every moment leading up to this was so worth it. To all of our friends and family that support and love us, thank you. I can’t wait for more photos to come in so I can share them with you all. And to all my readers, thank you. I would not be where I am today without your encouragement, love, and support. I consider each of you a good friend and can’t thank you enough for wanting to be a part of my journey. More blog posts will be up shortly, now that I finally have time to write! Can’t wait to be back ūüôā

Dreamy Pink Dress // Little Blue Dress

It’s been a while since my last post, and boy do I have a lot of updates for you guys!

First of all, I’m finally graduated! I successfully finished my first degree as part of the honors program, and am hoping to start classes again this fall to get my second degree. The last several weeks have been hectic trying to study for my last test, and I was so happy I passed.

¬†We celebrated my younger sister’s high school graduation with my family on Sunday, and went out to dinner afterwards. It was so good to see everyone and catch up, now that we’re all getting older and getting to new, exciting points in our lives.

As of this post, there’s only 27 more days until D and I tie the knot! We’re super excited to start this new chapter of our lives together. We’ve been so busy getting things prepared for our trips, and working hard on a new project that launches on the blog at the end of this week, which I’m so excited to share with everyone.

My pink dress is sold out in the color I have, but they do still have the cornflower blue and a pretty wine version. And, it’s only $27! My blue scale print dress was a great find from Marshall’s over the weekend. I had mixed feelings about the dress, so I went back to the store to return it. I had bought it at a different location than my home store with a few new tops. The man who had rung me out scanned the price tag of my $12 shirt twice, instead of the tag for the dress, so when I went to go return it they were unable to scan it. They ended up refunding me the $12 I had paid for the top when it scanned a second time, and still let me keep the dress. Considering I got it for free, I took it as it was meant to be and happily left the store with it. Just another reason why I love shopping at Marshalls! Scooore!

Lyssa’s Bridal Shower and Brunch

This past weekend was so much fun! On Saturday, D and I got up early, went out to breakfast, and spent the day together working on home décor projects. I spent most of the day outside, soaking up the beautiful weather after a whole week of rain.

On Sunday, my mom and I attended a good friend’s bridal shower at the country inn, and it was beautiful! It was so nice to be able to see friends and family and celebrate two people whom I love very much. She looked absolutely stunning, and so happy. 54 more days, Lyssa! We enjoyed brunch, several party games, and I walked away with a cute little prize (you’re darn right I guessed all the cake flavors correctly!)

I wore this adorable, bell-sleeved Eliza J dress in blush, which you can find below.

*Please excuse my lack of a tan haha

I love the crochet details on this dress

Brunch from Sunday. Loaded up on the fruit and definitely indulged in a mimosa or two!

The adorable inn that hosted the event.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Summer Lust List: Swimwear & Accessories

It’s almost summer, eek!

I can’t wait to spend my weekends sitting poolside, sipping on strawberry daiquiris and soaking up the sun. I feel so much happier in the summer, and I love to be outdoors, especially when I get to work on what I love. And, it’s almost wedding time! Only a few months away, and we’re preparing like crazy. Putting the finishing touches on our trip, trying to figure out what to pack, and finishing coordinating with the¬†makeup artist. We’ve got a lot to do still, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

To get in the mood for poolside weather, I wanted to share some of the items I’ve been lusting after this season! I’m in desperate need of some new, cute swimwear and some versatile¬†bags to bring on our beach trip in November, so take a peek and see what you like!

Monday Roundup: Spring’s Blue & White Stripes

Happy first day of spring! It’s kinda sad that I’m excited about the temps reaching 50 today, but it’s been so cold!¬†I hope we’re done with snow for good but somehow I get the feeling we still have more on the way. On the bright side, it’s not overcast¬†and I can finally get some fresh air, aaand it’s time for another Monday Roundup!

Today is all about spring’s blue & white trend. This is usually one of my favorite color combos for summer because it makes me think of the sea and all things nautical; there’s just something so timeless and classic about white shorts, a blue & white striped sweater, and cute sandals. Everyone seems to be embracing it¬†earlier than usual this year, and I’m totally on board with it! Many of the tops that¬†I have picked also encompass several other trends: bell sleeves, off-the-shoulder, and embroidery. A few of these are currently in my shopping cart, and¬†I get wait to get them! I’m especially crushing on numbers 1, 4, 5, and 9. To me, details are everything, and these tops all have a little something extra that take them from plain to amazing. If you haven’t already snagged yourself a couple of these classics, then you need to! This color combo has been around forever and I don’t think it will be going anywhere anytime soon.¬†Which tops are your favorites?

PS if you’re looking for some super cute sandals to wear with these tops (or this season) click here!
