D and I spent the whole day at Tougas Farm picking apples, drinking cider, and eating apple cider donuts. The weather was beautiful, it wasn’t crowded, and it was an overall perfect day. We finished up our day picking out pumpkins for our front porch from a little stand down the road, and stopped at the market to pick up these beautiful flowers. The plaid poncho I am wearing is from Nordstrom, and it’s only $39! It’s a one size fits all and found it a little big on me, but it’s super comfy and goes with anything. Right now it only comes in the white and black one that I am wearing, but hopefully they’ll stock other colors soon! As always, you can shop my look, now with our NEW link at the top of the page where it says ‘Shop my looks.’
Guys- I found the perfect transitional sweater for fall! The weather has been tough around here: I’m talking a steady 75 degrees and all I want is for it to be cool enough to wear my new fall clothes! It’s been a real struggle trying to dress appropriately for this weather, since it’s been so cold in the mornings and hot by lunchtime. I came across this adorable sweater while browsing online and it’s only $49! Absolutely steal for the quality, it fits like a dream, and it’s super soft. You can still find the pink one online, and the taffy is still in stock, too. But hurry, they won’t be for long!!
On a side note- my blog is finally back up and running after being down due to technical problems the last two weeks. I apologize to everyone and thank you for all of your patience and emails as we’ve worked to get this back up and running!
PS!! You can now shop ALL of my looks on my ShopStyle page, and my Instagram!
Guys, it’s been waayyyy too long, and I’m so sorry I haven’t checked in in a while! Things have been really crazy for me and I took a temporary hiatus from blogging to just de-stress and find my way again.
Real talk: I have been feeling really down for a long time now, and finally sought advice for how I was feeling. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression (something I have struggled with for a very long time but never told anyone) and no, I’m not ashamed to admit this. Lately, it’s been more of a struggle to hide this part of me, as something recently triggered those feelings again. Between healing from an incident from my past and my struggles to choose my calling now, I needed some time to just find my inner peace and search for answers.
Some people find what they want to do in life comes easily to them; I know what I want to do, but at this point am unable. It’s so hard to find a balance between being happy and doing something because I have to, and I’ve been feeling very lost with my decision making. I turned to someone I trust for guidance and am working with a few people to get myself on track to where I want to be: I’m very excited and hopeful! I’m crossing my fingers these new changes in my life will help me to keep progressing to where I wish to be, and will keep working hard and dreaming big in the meantime.
As a result of being preoccupied with everything, I haven’t been able to devote much time to blogging and creating content for you, my amazing readers. Without you guys and your support, I would be completely lost. I can’t thank you all enough for sharing this journey with me. I have shared some of my most recent posts from Instagram below. As always, links to shop items are at the end!
So happy it feels like fall! I wish I could say this is my first PSL of the season, but it’s definitely not. Please excuse my windswept hair, D wouldn’t let me stop to fix it! Wore this look to explore downtown Portland, ME. We went up for the weekend to celebrate a wedding, and had a fun time exploring this charming seaside town!
I am so in love with these gorgeous, embroidered smoking flats! Perfect jewel tones for fall, and suuuper comy!
Clearly I’m in love with this simple grey sweater, because I’ve worn it two days in a row! This is such an easy breezy fall uniform. Cotton leggings, a cozy sweater, flats, and cute accessories make for an easy outfit for every day wear (or coffee runs!)
Okay, different grey sweater, I promise!! This is actually a short sleeve sweater tee, and it is one of the comfiest items of clothing that I own. Best part, it’s only $13! Such a steal! This dainty necklace can easily dress up your outfit, or be layered with other necklaces for a more unique look.
Been really enjoying the weekend getaways when I can, and planning new places to travel! Spent a couple days at my best friend’s beautiful lake home, and the next two pictures are housewarming gifts I made for a different friend to celebrate her first home!
Has anyone been up to anything interesting lately? I’d love to hear about it!
On July 9th, in the Cascade mountains, I said “I Do” to my best friend, my rock, my soulmate. Thank you for loving me, and for accepting every part of me including my flaws. You are everything I could have asked for, and I can’t wait to share the rest of my life with you.
We wrote our own vows, and read them to each other while struggling not to cry (we didn’t succeed!) It was a very emotional ceremony, and a moment I’ll never forget.
We are back from our vacation and resting, enjoying every moment together before we both go back to work. It’s been a whirlwind of fun, and every moment leading up to this was so worth it. To all of our friends and family that support and love us, thank you. I can’t wait for more photos to come in so I can share them with you all. And to all my readers, thank you. I would not be where I am today without your encouragement, love, and support. I consider each of you a good friend and can’t thank you enough for wanting to be a part of my journey. More blog posts will be up shortly, now that I finally have time to write! Can’t wait to be back 🙂

It’s been a while since my last post, and boy do I have a lot of updates for you guys!
First of all, I’m finally graduated! I successfully finished my first degree as part of the honors program, and am hoping to start classes again this fall to get my second degree. The last several weeks have been hectic trying to study for my last test, and I was so happy I passed.
We celebrated my younger sister’s high school graduation with my family on Sunday, and went out to dinner afterwards. It was so good to see everyone and catch up, now that we’re all getting older and getting to new, exciting points in our lives.
As of this post, there’s only 27 more days until D and I tie the knot! We’re super excited to start this new chapter of our lives together. We’ve been so busy getting things prepared for our trips, and working hard on a new project that launches on the blog at the end of this week, which I’m so excited to share with everyone.
My pink dress is sold out in the color I have, but they do still have the cornflower blue and a pretty wine version. And, it’s only $27! My blue scale print dress was a great find from Marshall’s over the weekend. I had mixed feelings about the dress, so I went back to the store to return it. I had bought it at a different location than my home store with a few new tops. The man who had rung me out scanned the price tag of my $12 shirt twice, instead of the tag for the dress, so when I went to go return it they were unable to scan it. They ended up refunding me the $12 I had paid for the top when it scanned a second time, and still let me keep the dress. Considering I got it for free, I took it as it was meant to be and happily left the store with it. Just another reason why I love shopping at Marshalls! Scooore!
Hey everyone! I’ve partnered with Shein to bring you some of my favorite summer tops and dresses for under $40! They have fabulous clothes, and they are super affordable- which is a bonus for me. I wanted to do a quick roundup for you, and if you see anything you like, click the images to shop the post! I’ll be updating again soon, and sharing some details for my upcoming wedding in July 🙂 I can’t believe how fast it’s coming up, and we’ve been craaazy busy trying to finish planning and getting everything together, so I’m sorry I haven’t posted as much as I usually do!
If you’ve never been to the SheIn site before, I highly encourage you to look; they have beautiful clothes at extremely affordable prices (think Forever21 and H&M) and customers can post pictures wearing their purchases in the reviews, so you can get an idea of how it may look on you. I’m STILL in desperate need of some cute summer tops and dresses, and I plan on grabbing all of the items in this post ASAP- because they can sell out quick!
Have you ever shopped at Shein before? What is your favorite item from there? Let me know in the comments below!
This past weekend was so much fun! On Saturday, D and I got up early, went out to breakfast, and spent the day together working on home décor projects. I spent most of the day outside, soaking up the beautiful weather after a whole week of rain.
On Sunday, my mom and I attended a good friend’s bridal shower at the country inn, and it was beautiful! It was so nice to be able to see friends and family and celebrate two people whom I love very much. She looked absolutely stunning, and so happy. 54 more days, Lyssa! We enjoyed brunch, several party games, and I walked away with a cute little prize (you’re darn right I guessed all the cake flavors correctly!)
I wore this adorable, bell-sleeved Eliza J dress in blush, which you can find below.
*Please excuse my lack of a tan haha
I love the crochet details on this dress
Brunch from Sunday. Loaded up on the fruit and definitely indulged in a mimosa or two!
